Coastal Farmhouse Living Room Refresh. A dreamy paint color and ombré beaded light fixture give this room a whole new look!
Coastal Farmhouse Living Room Refresh
Does all this extra time at home have anyone else regularly doing little DIYs and home projects?
It never fails to amaze me what a little paint and a statement light fixture can do to make a room’s design go from good to great.
The Entryway
A few weeks ago, I decided to paint our entryway and my office. I loved the foyer color so much; I wanted to use it throughout the whole main floor living space.
I haven’t blogged about the entryway yet, but here’s a peek at this also newly refreshed space. It got a whole new look from the last time I shared it. Full blog post coming soon!

Not all my exact items are still available, so I chose super similar options to achieve the same aesthetic.
BEFORE AND AFTER
Before: Builder grade paint in SW Agreeable Gray, a light fixture I liked but didn’t love, and too many settees.
After: A super comfy L-Shaped couch for Netflix marathons, a nearly neutral turquoise paint color (SW Window Pane 6210), and an ombré wood bead chandelier. Plus, as little furniture re-arranging.
The Paint Color: SW Window Pane 6210
This pastel turquoise is light enough to be a neutral color, while still upping the coastal, calming vibe of the house.
Painting the high-peaked ceilings was a challenge, but it was so worth it!
We borrowed a super tall ladder from our neighbors to reach them, and it was definitely a two-person job to do it safely.
A NEW CHANDELIER
Swoon. Amiright?! The first time I saw a similar light fixture like this, I knew it would be perfect in this room. But the price tag was painful. Lucky for me, TOV Furniture came out with a MUCH more affordable version, which I snagged on Overstock.
And yes, it does light up! There are three bulbs within the chandelier.

Board and Batten
We also added DIY Board and Batten on either side of the fireplace since I last blogged about this room. It helps brighten up the room and also adds a more custom look.
