Just got this cute sundress in the mail...and now I’m all dressed up with nowhere to go. 😆⁣

When I first saw it on someone online, I assumed it would be more than I wanted to pay. Turns out it’s under $30, so I had to share!⁣
⁣
I ordered my usual size M, but if you’re bustier than a DD you’d likely need to size up as the top runs a bit snug.⁣
⁣
I ordered the Olive version as well and it’s such a pretty color!⁣

I couldn’t turn the pages of this atmospheric novel fast enough.⁣
⁣
“A female apothecary secretly dispenses poisons to liberate women from the men who have wronged them—setting three lives across centuries on a dangerous collision course.”⁣

I wasn’t sure the full story could live up to such an intriguing premise, but it was fabulously written. I’m surprised it doesn’t have exclusively five-star reviews!⁣

As added bonuses, I found the ending to be incredibly satisfying and the book’s cover art downright dreamy. 😍⁣

A stellar debut novel from Sarah Penner. I’m anxiously awaiting her next book!⁣

Our top front porch was that one spot in the house

Our top front porch was that one spot in the house that had all our old, random, “we don’t know what to do with these” pieces.
⁣⁣
Decorating it has been on the back burner until last weekend when we happened upon these cute chairs. We loved how comfy they are, so we grabbed them on the spot.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We got them home and I, of course, couldn’t resist giving this space a full makeover!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Some pieces are things I already had and some are new, but the most special piece is the “Freedom & Whiskey” sign, because I had it custom made.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I chose that phrase for a few reasons: This is the spot the hubby and I often hang out in and have “Old Fashioned Friday” Date Night Cocktails 🥃. We also and enjoy watching “Outlander” together.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
In the show, they toast “to freedom and whisky” which is from a Robert Burns poem. Between being an Air Force family and our love of whiskey cocktails, it seemed like the perfect choice. (I Americanized the spelling of whiskey for the sign. 😜)⁣⁣

All we have to do is hang some café string lights and it’s ready for at-home date nights!⁣⁣
⁣⁣

Note: The “freedom and whiskey” wood sign I had custom made, but I tagged the maker’s “welcome” sign in LTK (I have that sign, too!) so you can find him if you’d like to custom order a phrase. ☺️⁣

I took one of my very favorite routes for my three-mile run this morning. The views were so pretty, I stopped to snap a few quick pics here and there. ⁣

It wasn’t until I got home and looked at the photos that I noticed the rainbow in the sun flare. 🙌🏻🌈⁣

It’s amazing what a little sunshine, 68 degree weather, exercise, fresh air, Zyrtec D, and unexpected God-given symbol of hope can do for your state of mind.⁣

I stood on this corner in our little village of Weilerbach, Germany three years ago today, walking around and savoring the memories and quiet morning streets. ⁣
⁣
It was so bittersweet knowing we had just 12 weeks left there at the time. Living as an expat in another country was a life-changing experience in so many ways. ⁣
⁣
It wasn’t always easy being an American in Europe. It teaches you humility and compassion for what it feels like to be the outsider. ⁣
⁣
I will be forever grateful we had the opportunity to be exposed to another culture and way of life. ⁣
⁣
Home is where the Air Force sends us and a piece of my heart will always be in Germany. 💕

Some days, I miss dressing up, but most of the time I’m quite content to live in forgiving, comfy clothes, and these $20 fluffy Amazon slippers.⁣

The reality is that no matter what I’m wearing, most days I’m struggling to feel creative during this pandemic. 😜⁣

On the upside, my office stays really clean since I spend so much time working from the couch. 😂

Well, this chick lit crime novel was the most fun I’ve had reading a book in a while. ⁣
⁣
I finished it in one several-hour sitting, as it was impossible to put down and I loved every second of reading it.⁣
⁣
I can’t wait for the sequel! 🤩
