Beachy Little Half Bathroom
Our little powder room might be small but it’s not short on coastal charm!
Because of its small size and lack of any natural light, it’s a tricky room to photograph which is why I’ve never shared it. I used a wide-angle lens to get some “good enough” pics to share!
The Wall Treatments
First, I painted the walls in SW Watery. Then my husband and I added the DIY Board and Batten Accent Wall.
You can get more details on how we do our Board and Batten here.
We’ve done it in six posts in our house: Entry Way, Stairwell, Master Bedroom Accent Wall, Dining Room, Living Room Accent Wall, and in our girls’ Natiucal-theme bathroom.
Sometimes we do vertical and sometimes horizontal. It’s such an easy and inexpensive way to add charm and character to a builder-grade home.
I love Board and Batten more than I love shiplap!
Beachy Little Half Bathroom Accents
Things like the rattan tissue box and coastal soap holder add to the beach vibe. The stool and basket help tie this room into the coastal farmhouse theme we have on the main floor.
Themed rooms can go from cute to corny really quickly, so I avoid crossing that line with my décor choices. I love bringing textures into a room that add to the overall aesthetic.
Décor items are linked at the top and bottom of this post under the “Shop this Post” heading.
The boat painting is from Hobby Lobby and the mirror is from a local store. It’s a few years old and the store doesn’t sell things online so I tagged several super similar options for anyone interested in purchasing a similar mirror.
The decorative anchor and rudder are also from Hobby Lobby. I purchased them about 2-3 years ago but I think they still have similar items in the store in their nautical section.
The “Beach” rug I just added a few days ago! Even though I already at the metal Beach sign, I couldn’t resist how cute it was when I came across it on Amazon. Both are linked below.
